Please RSVP to this event and join the Club for our Annual General Meeting, followed by an important 2020 planning session for Coaches & Managers (including anyone interested in participating but not yet appointed to a coaching staff).

6.30pm – Bar open and food served
7.00pm – Annual General Meeting: brief Club updates on progress and election of 2020 Club President, Board & Committee members
8.00pm – Coaches & Managers 2020 planning workshop
9.30pm – Close.

Important reminder for Board & Committee positions:
ALL positions are open for nomination. Nominations should be sent to secretary@stivesafl.com in writing (one sentence will do) by no later than 10pm Wednesday 30th October.

If you have nominated for a position, and there are no other nominees, you will be announced in the role at the AGM. If there is more than one nominee there will be a vote. If there are no nominees, we will look for volunteers at the AGM (and if necessary at a later date).

You can nominate for a Board role without nominating a specific position. Someone from the Committee will then be in contact to discuss the most suitable role (that you will then nominate for prior to the AGM).

The incumbent President (Paul Thompson) is stepping down. At present there is one nominee to be 2020 President (Lindy Jones).

Further information about all the Board roles and responsibilities is available under the Resource tab. We have increased the number of roles on the Board to try and reduce the workload on individuals.

If you have any other questions about Board roles, please either contact secretary@stivesafl.com (Pete Munckton) or any other member of the Committee. A list of the nominees for each role will announced around one week prior to the AGM.

Agenda for 2020 Coaches & Managers planning workshop
We would like to welcome our 2020 coaching staff and anyone interested in participating to:
- hear the outcomes of the 2020 squad planning process led by Wilko
- discuss our recruitment approach and who’s doing what to support our squads
- update on Council liaison to secure grounds/facilities
- understand the support provided by the AFL
- clarify timelines for AFL team nominations (hint: this starts in December!)
- provide an opportunity to ask questions and make sure you’ll be ready, willing and able to kick off season 2020 with a bang!
