Dear Sydney Junior AFL Player,
You are receiving this email as a registered player during 2017.
The AFL Talent Team invite you to attend an AFL Combine. Eligible ages for attendance are boys and girls turning 11 to 18 in 2018. Participants will be placed in age appropriate groups and also with other players from their club.
A Combine is a combination of athletic and skill testing. The Combine is suitable for all players as testing is done on an individual basis. It is a great way to see how fit you are, what you need to work on and also get you ready for the upcoming season.
All participants will receive their testing results at the end of the Combine.
The Combine will be held at Riverview College, Tambourine Bay Rd, Lane Cove on Tuesday January 23rd 2018, from 9.00am to 3.30pm.
Players will be tested using the Latest AFL Combine Testing Protocols (beep test, agility test, vertical jump and 20m sprint etc). Players will also be assessed on their skill level, kicking and handballing (left and right sides). There will also be a goal kicking test. These tests are the same as the AFL use for all U18 players who attend the draft camp before they are drafted to AFL Clubs.
Representatives from the AFL Talented Player Program will be present to assist and also view players as they are tested.
The cost to participate in the combine is $100.00. This is to be paid on the day by cash or by cheque made payable to (AFL NSW/ACT).
Lunch (ham/chicken salad roll and fruit) will be provided and cold water will be available all day. Please ensure your child has a water bottle, sunscreen and also brings extra snacks as needed.
The day will commence 9.00am (sharp) and conclude by 3.30pm. Please arrive at the indoor Basketball courts at Riverview College by 8.30am so we can receive and complete registration paperwork and payments. This will ensure we start on time.
