Good morning!

As the excitement builds and we edge closer to the start of the junior footy season in mid-July, the AFL has confirmed that Clubs can return to contact training from this Wednesday.

AFL safety checklists for contact training and Auskick are attached and we encourage all families to read these and be aware of our expectations.

Return to contact training means we will have a revised training schedule which your Manager/Coach will tell you about.

In most cases, it will revert to the training day/time we had at the start of the year.

Apart from limits to group sizes, the safety protocols we have been communicating and practising at training will continue to apply unchanged.

It’s really important that you continue to RSVP to training event invitations so attendances can be tracked, especially during the school holiday period when we appreciate some families will be away.

As we said, sanitiser, social distancing, not sharing bottles and other good habits are becoming part of our ‘new normal’.

What happens next
With our teams confirmed to the AFL this week, they are now working through the draw for a 9-week season (+ 2 weeks of finals) to start on the 17th/19th July. The season fixture will be communicated by 10th July.

The 10-week Auskick season will start on Sunday 19th July at 8.30am at Acron Oval.

Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers, families and supporters for a smooth transition back to training over recent weeks, and everyone is really looking forward to some excellent Round 1 action in the weeks to come.

Go Saints!
