Weekly Newsletter – Week 46

The come and try sessions have been going really well but we would still love to see more of our U16’s cohort come along for the last session.
Yes, I did say u16’s as that is now the new age group for the u15’s girls! How exciting!!
EVERYONE come along for the last session on Sunday morning…. there is no other sport that is worthy of your time!! :)

Bus trip to GWS Giants Women’s Game planning is starting for this and tickets will be put on sale shortly. We are hoping to have a bus load of 48 go along to a game to support the Giants Womens team. Saturday 15th Feb is the day, and 415pm kick off is the time – the interesting bit will be they play Carlton…. I think our Guernseys are based on the Carlton colours! And we will be in our colours!!!

Aikido I am still to meet Derek, the dojo master, but rest assured I will set-up a set of events for you to register (it will require some payment but hopefully the club can help fund to help make it cheaper for you). Keep your eyes peeled for ticketed events, likely a 6 week programme. Main focus is to teach handling contact and how to fall without injury.

Lastly, don’t forget any summer sport, any other sport, is simply a time filler whilst we are out of season…. ;)
