St. Ives AFL Community: Adam Goodes receives cheque from Gala dinner fund-raising

Thanks to all our players, umpires, volunteers, families and supporters for an outstanding 50th anniversary season.

We were especially proud of your support and the fantastic fundraising success of our 50th anniversary Gala Dinner held in June.

Committee members Geoff Wadeson and Andrew Ridley (not pictured) recently met with Adam Goodes and GO Foundation CEO, Shirley Chowdhary to hand over a cheque for $5,950 which was raised on the night.

Shirley advised that the funds will be used for the GO Foundation’s public school scholarship program, providing Indigenous students with financial assistance for educational needs such as books, pens, excursions, learning support, Wi-Fi access, computers, sporting equipment and musical instruments.

St. Ives Junior AFL Club is proud to be active in supporting our community.

Look forward to seeing our Club community come together this Sunday for Presentation Day at Acron Oval from 10am to 12.30pm.
